Napoli faces competition from Everton for Witsel: the asking price to complete deal

Napoli continues to look for a significant addition to their midfield now that they are back in the Champions League. On Friday the partenopei met with Witsel's father who also acts as the agent for the player, there will be further contacts in the coming days. Closing the deal would however have significant costs as Zenit is asking for €25 million, and the Belgian midfielder is looking for annual wages of between €3.5 and €4 million net of taxes. Napoli also faces competition for Witsel's signature, at the moment Everton is leading the race.
