On Thursday the agents of Nicolas Pépé of Lille met with Napoli at the site of their training retreat at Dimaro. The sides made positive steps towards a deal: the request is for a €5m salary net, and a €5m agent's fee.
Napoli meanwhile offered €3.5m net plus a €500k signing bonus. There is competition from Manchester United in signing Pépé, and the negotiations with Napoli remain complicated. But compared to two weeks ago the player has opened significantly to a move to Serie A. The negotiations with Lille continue, as Ounas and Verdi could be pieces sent back in return.
Also at Napoli's retreat was the agent Mario Giuffredi, who represents Di Lorenzo, Mario Rui, and Hysaj. The latter could be on his way out with interest in him from the Premier League and from Roma and Juve.
