A statement released by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has officially confirmed what has been suspected, that Maurizio Sarri will not be coaching the team next season. That position will be filled by Carlo Ancelotti, who has been involved with numerous meetings with the club in the past day, along with his staff. De Laurentiis thanked Sarri in his message to the now former coach: "Thanks to Maurizio Sarri for his invaluable dedication to Calcio Napoli which has been a gift of prestige and emotion bestowed on the city and on the club's fans around the world, creating a model of play admired everywhere by all. Bravo Maurizio."
Now only the official announcement of the agreement with Ancelotti awaits, as he has signed the contract to make him the new coach of Napoli.
