Following Saturday's loss to Roma, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis decided to keep the players on retreat this week. Manager Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the development during the pre match press conference to introduce the Champions League match against Salzburg:"Retreat? The news of the day is tomorrow we have an important match to qualify out of the group stage. We already saw first hand how hard it is to play against Salzburg. The rest is just details, then if you want an opinion I'll tell you that I don't agree with the decision. The club made this choice and we accept it. I don't agree with the retreat but nothing changes with the president"
Ancelotti was asked about the recent incdident between Balotelli and Hellas Verona fans on Sunday:"Balotelli was right, he had the right reaction. We are on the right path"
