Napoli, Ancelotti: "We deserved to win. I already said good-bye to Hamsik."

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti was disappointed to only walk away with one point following a 0-0 tie against Fiorentina.

"It doesn't seem like the right result to me. We lost two points that we deserved based on what we saw from the first to the final minute. It was an impeccable game from a certain point of view, but it was missing a few finalizations, which kept us at this result. We had a little bit of difficulty in the construction from behind because they were pressing very hard, but we eventually overcame this problem. We had a good presentation and a victory was deserved.

Fabian Ruiz? He's a different player from Hamsik but forms a trustworthy partnership with Allan. We play in different ways, not in a linear way like with Hamsik but deeper and more vertical. Our vision of play changes a little, but not the substance. Mertens? He's been unlucky in front of goal. He deserved to score on a couple occasions he created. Lafont made some great saves."

"Our squad is alive and we need to regulate a few things around finishing. Is the scudetto too far away? We're 8 points behind Juve, the flame might go out tomorrow, but not tonight."

Ancelotti closed on speaking about Hamsik's future. "I said good-bye to him on Thursday and I haven't seen him since. Maybe I'll see him tomorrow, who knows."
