Dries Mertens scored in the 90' to help Napoli avoid defeat against Roma. Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Sky Sport following the 1-1 draw.

"I'm happy with the way the team played. We were down, but for 90 minutes we were able to maintain a constant rhythm and we were able to avoid playing the way Roma wanted us to. We didn't lack opportunities."

"Is Mertens unhappy? If he said he was happy to start on the bench, I'd have to ask him his reasoning for that. It's normal for a player to want to play. Milik is stronger than Mertens in the penalty area and if crosses arrive from the back. Dries is better between the lines. Our play doesn't change based on who I line up next to each other. My decisions are based on the physical expenditure that my players go through by playing more than once a week."

"Fabian Ruiz played a great match, nobody has ever underestimated him. We always believed in him and now slowly but surely, he's showing his quality. Usually, after Champions League games, there's a drop in concentration during the weekend. Today, however, the squad responded in the best possible way and I'm very happy about that."

"In our midfield we have a lot of quality players. We lost Jorginho, who was fundamental for us, but there are a lot of young, important players that are doing well and I have a lot of choices with who I could play in that role."
