After getting knocked out of the Europa League and losing to Atalanta in the league, Napoli want to go backe to winning ways in order to secure the second spot behind Juventus. The Azzurri's coach Carlo Ancelotti analysed the team's moment and the overall review on the season so far in the pre match press-conference: "We want to put this negative moment behind us and focus on securing the second position as soon as possible. We want to play a good game on Sunday and bounce back. According to some people second place was off the table for us at the beginning of the season. My overall judgment so far is positive, this team showed many good things in the first part of the season. We struggled a bit in the second part, I got to know the environment, the players and the club, so we are moving forward with confidence".

"I have found the right club to express my ideas and the club supports me. I feel too much negativity around us, people say that we failed, but nobody said that we would have won the Scudetto or the Champions League at the start of the season.", continued Ancelotti. The coach also discussed about the injury situation and the strategies for the transfer market: "Insigne won't be available tomorrow, he has some muscle issues and he trained on and off this week. There's only one way for him to bounce back from the negative period, and that's working hard and training. And he knows it very well. He is a bit sad because people whistle at him, but we have to move on, there's no Insigne situation. Allan won't be available either due to a muscle problem. Albiol recovered, he won't start but he trained well". And on the market: "We don't need to sell players to have a positive balance, we will work following our ideas to bolster the team regardless of the departures. However, if some players want to leave we won't keep them. We haven't changed our ideas on the transfer market, we have clear objectives, we won't have to study the market too much".
