Mourinho: "Pogba? He is not captain anymore. No one is bigger than Manchester United"

There is another chapter of the Mourinho-Pogba saga that is taking place at Manchester United. After they were caught going through a confrontation on video one day after Mourinho removed the captaincy from the Frenchman, Mourinho addressed the topic at his pre-match press conference, although he tried to downplay the situation. The Red Devils will play West Ham and their manager had this to say about his star midfielder: "Manchester United is bigger than anyone and I must defend that. after weeks of analyzing and changing opinions with my coaching staff, we made the decision Pogba is just a player and not a captain. Relationship is player-manager? I can anticipate more questions by saying the relation of player and manager is good, is not anymore a relation, captain or whether the captain's manager, the relation is good. I'm happy with his work this week, really happy, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday especially, because today was not so significant but he trained really well. The team needs good players, players with personality to play. He has that and he plays tomorrow. The bust-up? What happened the other day happens many days, conversations with players I have many, many times. That was not the case on this occasion, but loud criticism, loud instruction, that happens everyday, coaching is about that."
