He's one of the most esteemed of the available managers for this upcoming market: after being sacked from the Manchester United bench, José Mouinho still has not chosen -- notwithstanding the strong temptation by Celtic -- his next destination.
There has, however, been at least some affirmation directly from the Special One regarding where he will not be coaching: PSG. Below are his comments to L'Equipe:
"It's not possible that I coach there, because I cannot manage a club that already has a manager. PSG is a global club that will hasn't won at the European level, this is an important detail. It's the same thing that I say when we're speaking about managers. You can have great qualities, but if you haven't won at the European level at the end of your career, you're missing something, it's an omission."
Mourinho then spoke on his adventure in Manchester and getting sacked in December: "I believe that it's not always needed to talk and make analysis, time has given its explanation. On United I can only say two things: The first is that things work out over time, the second is that the problems are still there. I'm a victim of Pogba? No, the problems are still there. You hypothesize that there are players, the organization, ambitions, I can only say that Paul was not the only one responsible if you ask me this."
"9-10 months ago I said that, after winning 8 league titles, having finished last year in second place with United was my greatest success. Now the people are understanding."
