Milan's reinfocements have started arriving: despite Ballo-Tourè falling through, and after closing the deal Giroud in attack, the 1999-born Real Madrid product Brahim Diaz has made it to the city.
On Saturday morning, the day after Giroud, Diaz arrived just after 11AM CET at Linate airport.
"Number ten? We will see, I am happy, I am very happy." The first words spoken by Brahim to the waiting journalists.
After saying goodbye to Calhanoglu, Diaz is more likely this season to be among the starters, with a year of experience in Serie A behind him and a growing relationship with his current teammates.
The deal between Milan and Real Madrid closed on the formula of a loan with option to buy, the rossoneri will pay €3 million to keep Diaz for the next two seasons. To purchase him outright the fee to Real will be €22 million, and the Spanish club hold a counter-option fixed at €27 million.
