Suso has revealed he was close to Inter in the past. This summer, as we had reported, but also in 2017. He's told it in an interview to Tuttosport: "This summer, Inter made me an offer and Mirabelli knew it. It surprised me when he's told publicly he didn't know anything because he did, we talked together about it. My intention was to stay here and I'm glad I have. They made a try in 2017 too, but i've never thought about switching teams".

He then talks about Gattuso: "He's got a lot of merits regarding my growth, he's an intense man and I'm feeling well with him. He's someone who puts everything in his work, but outside of the pitch he's one of the people I like to talk to the most. He's the right man in the right place".
