Suso has revealed he was close to Inter in the past. This summer, as we had reported, but also in 2017. He's told it in an interview to Tuttosport: "This summer, Inter made me an offer and Mirabelli knew it. It surprised me when he's told publicly he didn't know anything because he did, we talked together about it. My intention was to stay here and I'm glad I have. They made a try in 2017 too, but i've never thought about switching teams".
"Reading that teams like Real, Barcelona or Manchester City are interested feels good, but Milan is a good team. You never know what could happen during the transfer window but i've always said I'm happy as a rossonero. In another Italian team? It will depend on how we'll part ways with Milan: if the club wouldn't want me anymore, we'd see, but i personally don't think i want to play for another Italian team".
"Idols? I've gone crazy for Kakà when I was a child, for the way he was going so quickly and dribble his opponents, but in the meantime he was really calm when he had to choose wether to shoot or to pass. It was nice to watch. A few days ago i've seen him at San Siro and said hello but we didn't talk, he didn't want to disturb me before the game".
He then talks about Gattuso: "He's got a lot of merits regarding my growth, he's an intense man and I'm feeling well with him. He's someone who puts everything in his work, but outside of the pitch he's one of the people I like to talk to the most. He's the right man in the right place".
