Milan has made the signing of Krzyzstof Piatek official, as the rossoneri acquired the attacker from Genoa for 35 million euros after moving on from Gonzalo Higuain. After the signing, Ivan Gazidis, Paolo Maldini, Leonardo and Piatek shared their thoughts on the exciting transfer.
Gazidis: "We want to rebuild a great team for a long time. We don't only look at young players, but need to consider the limitations with UEFA. Krzyzstof represents the perfect player for us. He's young and talented."
Maldini: "We're living in a reality completely different from the winning one with President Berlusconi. Milan has always targeted young and talented players and, as a result of this, talented players continue to come, whether from the youth teams or not."
Piatek: "I always believe in myself, I wanted to show something good in Serie A. It's important for me to score because I'm an attacker. Nothing has changed in me, I'm the same person. I was born ready. I'll do everything to bring Milan to the Champions League, we'll see. I can only say that I'll give my all for Milan on the pitch."
Leonardo: "There's no superstition. He wanted the number 9, but that number needs to be conquered, and we made him choose 19. Higuain? He made his decisions. There's not much to say: today we talk about Piatek."
