A face to face meeting to discuss extending the contract of Franck Kessie occurred today. His current contract is set to expire in 2022.
The player's agent, George Atangana, met with the rossoneri directors. It was a meeting that was scheduled in the last few days and took place today.
The meeting was productive but serene, even with respect to the last meeting that took place in March. Both sides have shown themselves as being more open to finding the right agreement, however, it will take further discussions in order to actually reach an agreement.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Kessie publicly expressed his desire to continue with Milan: "I am proud to have chosen Milan and I don't intend to leave. Actually, I would like to remain here forever. When I return from the Olympics we will sort everything out. There won't be any problems, I always maintain my word. The club has always known my desire is to remain with the rossoneri."
