Milan lost to Genoa 2-1 at a closed-doors San Siro, the defeat was a stinging one for the rossoneri given their opponents' place in the table. Afterwards, coach Stefano Pioli gave his thoughts on the afternoon's loss: "We have no alibis or excuses, either for the closed doors or the questions around the club. We worked well, we needed to be more determined and concentrated. It's given that playing without fans is not calcio, but it was the same for Genoa as for us. We had a great chance to show our qualities, instead we were punished by our errors. Rangnick? Not thinking about it. I read [the comments from Gazidis], but I am concentrated on my job. The future will be seen, I understand the questions but I won't discuss it further. My job is to guide Milan to the end of the season in the best way possible."
