Facing one of your former teams can often be rather challenging or invigorating, but when it comes to playing against Fiorentina, Stefano Pioli goes back to the place where he managed Davide Astori who tragically passed away. This is what Milan's manager had to say about returning to the Franchi:"I only have good memories, I lived a great experience. There something that marks you happened. Astor isn't tragic passing united us, we turned a tragedy into something positive"
Pioli went on:"Davide is always inside me, knowing him was an honor. He came up at Milan, so I think he's happy of my arrival here after being at Fiorentina. I would have never wanted to live that situation but now I feel like a better person".
