Milan, Montella:"The criticism is fair, we must implement a winning mentality quickly"

Milan’s uninspiring performance against Sampdoria brought a quick responses from the club’s management. Today directors Fassone and Mirabelli visited the team at Milanello, and now manager Vincenzo Montella spoke to Milan TV to address the situation: ”I believe the criticism is fair, expressing it today was appropriate. We are all in agreement that the performance was below what we should expect from Milan now. My goal is to understand what happened to try to intervene. We met with the club’s management first and then with the players all together. We are aware that we must create a winning mentality quickly and reach some significant balance. We must accept criticism, be balanced and not lose focus when analyzing everything. The club didn’t ask me to change the formation or players, this is something that is up to me”
