After a tough 3-0 loss away at Genoa, Milan returns to winning ways. Jack Bonaventura was the name on the score sheet as the ‘rossoneri’ grab a 1-0 victory at home against Pescara. Vincenzo Montella spoke to Sky Sport about the game:
‘This was a huge victory against a tough opponent like Pescara. I’d say they’ve made us work the hardest so far this season. Third place? I said it before the game: Teams usually deserve every point they have. It’s still early, but we’ve won 70% of our matches. We know we can improve, but it’s too soon to look at the standings. Bacca? I don’t know why, but he wasn’t happy. Maybe tomorrow he’ll let me in on why he was upset. On the other hand Luiz Adriano did well after he was subbed on’.
On Milan’s project: ‘It’s obvious we’re playing with a lot of players who lack Serie A experience. History tells us that the best teams are the ones with the experience to guarantee results. We’re unbalanced in the sense that we lack such experience. Nonetheless, I want to look at it in a positive light. Sosa? He gave it his all in a position he’s rarely played in. He has to improve playing in front of the defense’.
