Milan, Mirabelli:"We wanted to make Donnarumma into an icon at the club"

This has been an intense week for Milan, after Andre' Silva's arrival Gigio Donnarumma decided not to extend his contract which currently expires in 2018. The rossoneri's sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli gave an interview to Corriere dello Sport to discuss the keeper's decision:"What will we do with Donnarumma? At the moment nothing. The input from ownership is to not accept offers. Also because for us Donnarumma has no price. We won't sell him at the moment. We wanted him to become an icon for our fans, and Donnarumma had everything to become that, he would have been the captain and frankly the offer was enormous considering his young age: €25 million net of taxes over 5 years is €50 million for the club to pay before taxes. On the human level we were upset, also because believe me there was no negotiation. And now we are looking for a keeper. Juventus interested in Donnarumma?
