Milan, Mirabelli: "Nobody wants to leave. Suso-Inter? Categorically, no"

Massimiliano Mirabelli spoke together with Gennaro Gattuso at Milan's pre-season press conference. Here is what the director of sport had to say: "Gattuso did not imagine the difficulties he would have to overcome, with this group he finished in third place from the moment he took the bench over. We have the ability to start with this group under Gattuso's method from the first day. I don't look at what is happening above, but only at the pitch, no one has told me they want to leave and they are optimistic over the future. More than looking at what the others do, we must look at what we do, the market is important but the pitch decides everything."

"Lose a top player? None of the players or the agents have come to say they want to leave Milan. We will have to base our transfer market off of a break even balance, we have ideas on outgoing players as well as signings. We are not forced to sell our important players."

"Suso-Inter? The agents can talk to others, I don't know if its with Inter or others. I categorically deny that Suso can go to Inter, he has a clause that exists for foreign clubs and he has mentioned many times he wants to stay at Milan."

"Europa League? It is normal that the Europa League, if you make it or not, affects revenue. We won this on the pitch and hopefully it will not be taken away. If you miss the Europa League you must invent something else."

"New Signings? Whoever arrives must be an important player, or else we'll stay as is. Neither I or you could have imagined such a situation at the corporate level, it would have been different if we had a calmer situation, but this shouldn't be an excuse. We must do our best for this shirt and this club. We don't want to take different paths that aren't important."
