With the sale of the club finally out of the way, Milan's new directors Fassone and Mirabellli are working on setting the stage for their first transfer window at the club. For the left back position, they have identified Faouzi Ghoulam as the right profile. The Algerian defender hasn't been able to reach an agreement with Napoli on an extension on his contract which currently expires in 2018, Milan met with his camp to see if they could reach an agreement on the wages- the next step will be to talk to Napoli.
The contacts for Mateo Musacchio are also ongoing, the Argentine defender also has an Italian passport and he has been identified as the first choice to bolster Montella's central defense. For the midfield Milan's director are currently talking with the agent for Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, they're trying to determine if there's an opening for deal by having a conversation with the player's manager Pocetta.
On the outgoing side Gianluca Lapadula has been linked to both Genoa and their crosstown rivals Sampdoria, who have identified the former Pescara striker as a potential replacement for either Muriel or Schick. Tomorrow there also will be a conversation with Mattia De Sciglio's agents to determine his future since his contract expires in 2018. Fassone and Mirabelli are busy on multiple fronts to reshape Milan.
