In the past few days, the name of Riccardo Orsolini, Italian striker born in 1997 currently playing in Serie B for Ascoli, has been surrounded by heated transfer rumours. He currently has the interest of Milan, but also Juventus, Atalanta and Napoli. His future appears bright, as he spoke to Sky Sport about his current situation:
“The Serie B is a strange league in which everyone has a chance. Ascoli has one goal: To avoid relegation. Once we achieve this, we can start to dream. Since I’m from this city, playing here is a dream. This league is a stepping stone for bigger things, like the Serie A. As for my future, only God knows whats in store for me”.
Milan is currently the club that has made the most advances to get him, and they look to close out the deal as soon as possible. The obstacle in the way of everything is the Chinese ownership, as they remain very attentive on all financial investments. Juventus remains active with all Italian youngsters, this case is no different as they have kept in contact with Orsolini’s agent. Atalanta also has some interest, while Napoli would have wanted to close out this deal instantly, to then give the player out on loan to Empoli. Milan continues to be given priority however, as they are the only team who could instantly insert him in their first squad. The willingness to close this out is there, the only thing left is for Milan to make one final push and close this out before any other club can step in.
