Milan appeared to have avoided the worst-case scenario for the injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The striker, who left in the 66th minute of the rossoneri's 3-0 win at Juventus, was feared by the club to have sustained serious injury after he shouted and fell to the ground in pain prior to his substitution.
Early tests seemed to rule out the club's biggest fears, but the MRI which will confirm suspicions has been postponed until Tuesday. Zlatan's knee today is still too swollen.
With his recovery timetable unknown, Milan can expect to be without the Swede with all likelihood for the match against Torino on Wednesday as well as at home to Cagliari on Sunday. Pioli will hope that Ibrahimovic will return for the final match of the season.
