With the next phase of matches in the campaign set to start, before Wednesday's training, Ivan Gazidis was at Milanello to meet with the team in the dressing room. As reported by Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Sport, the discussion touched on many topics, including agreeing to the players' proposal to forgo 50% of their April wages. The players however were confused at the delayed response, waiting until 48 hours ahead of their most important match of the season. Gazidis answered all of the players' questions calmly, admitting that he was late in his reply, promising to be more present at Milanello despite it not having been his role while in England to be near the pitch, as CEO, rather than manager. Gazidis also assured the players about the strength of the owners, even if the building process has been slow. The owners will commit to important investments in the stadium.
Regarding technical matters, the next two months will be a test for everyone: players, directors, and even for himself. There was no news on the coach for next season, but Pioli will have the chance to win the job for himself with the team's performance. Finally, Gazidis asked tha players to give maximal effort for the last part of the season.
