Milan, Gattuso:”We’re sorry to have disappointed fans that travelled here, we take full responsibility”

After the heavy loss in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico, Milan manager Rino Gattuso spoke to RAI: “The result isn’t a reflection of our performance, but you pay for your mistakes. In the first sixty minutes, Juventus never concerned us. We then made some youthful mistakes. We take all of the responsibility because maybe we don’t handle pressure well. Now we can’t look at the 4-0 result but how we lost. We don’t have to throw all of this away. What hurts aside from the Cup and the fact we won’t be able to enter directly in Europe is the fact that 40,000 fans travelled and we gave me a disappointment like this one. We’ll now have 180 minutes against teams that will be in better condition and we must do well to qualify for the Europa League with two great performances”
