Despite winning their last match at the season against SPAL, Milan came up just short of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. After the game, manager Rino Gattuso discussed the status of his job:”This isn’t the right time to talk about the future. I have good feelings everyone that runs the club are good people, but they have yet to say anything to me. I have however heard a lot of made up things. But based on the way we look at each other in the eyes, I don’t feel all of the things that have been said in recent months”
Gattuso went on:”I owe everything to Milan, they made me become a man, manager and player, I have won some amazing trophies and I owe this club a lot. I lived 18 hard months, I knew what I was going up against, and this must be evaluated since sometimes I received praise and other times faults I didn’t deserve”.
