Milan is set to face Lazio in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal tomorrow evening at the San Siro. Although it has been a rough spell for the rossoneri, they still have a lot to play for as they sit in fourth place in Serie A and are now looking to make the final of the Coppa Italia for the second consecutive year. Coach Gennaro Gattuso spoke to Milan TV ahead of the match: "The past is the past, we look to the present. We are playing a very important game. It will not be easy. In the first leg we did a lot of work, we're starting from 0-0, we'll see. For us it would be very important to reach the final, but we will need to work and have a great performance."
Not like the match against Parma, Gattuso continued: "The first half was played at a low intensity. I didn't like that game, it's not a problem with the formation: the attitude counts. Tired? Just like we are, so are the others. It's a tiring campaign. Tomorrow we will be in front of a great audience, it's a beautiful spot for Italian football and we'll try to make a good impression. We are thinking only of the game."
Gattuso touched on some of his possible selections for the match: "Paqueta? We'll see, he is an important player for us. In general, you know, I like people who give me reliability. Lazio has quantity but also quality, we don't want to make a mistake. We alternate good performances and bad games: we need continuity and to leave nothing to chance. I want drool running out of their mouths. With Inzaghi we are very good friends: we will do everything to behave well. Then we can just think about playing football. May the strongest team win."
