After being knocked out from the Europa League by Arsenal, Milan can return to focus on the race for a Champions League starting from the next match against Chievo. Rossoneri coach Gennaro Gattuso discussed the game in the pre-match press conference: "The Chievo game will be fundamental, we don't have much time to prepare it. Calabria and Abate haven't recovered yet, we need people who are 100% fit to put up a fight. Conti? He's back in training, we'll see if we can bring him on the bench tomorrow. Gattuso commented also on the rumors of the possibility of being offered a contract extension by the club: "There's no problem about my contract, I don't understand why it's so important. The club knows who should they speak to, right now that's not a priority of mine. I don't think about how well I'm doing or if my predecessors did better or worse than me. I live day by day, we are doing well right now because the team is following me".
