Milan's Europa League affair with Dudelange ended 5-2 for the rossoneri. But the evening for Gattuso's squad was not so straightforward-the lead changed hands before the hosts eventually went ahead in the 70' on a strike from Çalhanoğlu. Rino Gattuso's post match comments to SkySport touched on the effort put forth by his team:
"After they tied it I felt a little afraid. Even though we had a good start to the match. There are no easy matches. Dudelange kept trying to play and they could give us difficulties. To change so much is never so simple. Players without many minutes in their legs lose something quicker. I expected some challenges tonight, but the win is important. Higuain had an issue with his back, but he didn't tell me about it. At halftime I saw it a bit on him. He did well to fight through it. Cutrone? He has to continue to score and get better technically. He has to have the desire to fill the gaps, he has instinctive movement inside the box."
