Three games in 10 days against top international teams: Milan is getting ready for the 2018 International Champions Cup and their first opponent will be Manchester United. To present the game that will take place in Los Angeles, Gattuso has talked during a press conference:
"Bonucci? I've talked with Leo and we need to be honest, say the things as they are. Leo has had a confrontation with me, but I'm not the club and he'll have to talk with the board. As long as he's part of the squad, I want to see the Bonucci I've seen in the last 12 days: a professional Bonucci, who's the first to lead the group and acting as a great captain. Then it will up to Leo and the club to decide, but I hope he'll stay here because he's a great talent and has a great mentality. I think that when a player expresses a desire, the coach has to do everything he can to convince him to stay and think about the pros and cons. Then we need to understand clearly what the player wants, sit down together and face it in a correct manner".
"Transfer window? I think the club knows what positions need reinforcements. They know it, I've reaffirmed it but I think the most important think is to get players that can help the team and improve it. The club will make the choices, they're in a really good economic position. It's also normal that some times the club prefers taking some 24-25-year-old players rather than a 30-31-year-old one, a younger one could his value going up".
