Milan, Galliani:”Serie D? We sold to Li, not Elliott”

After the recent back and forth between Ivan Gazidis and Silvio Berlusconi, now Adriano Galliani addressed the topic of Milan risking relegation to Serie D. The former rossoneri vice president spoke to Radio Anch'Io about the topic:"Risk of relegation to Serie D? We sold to another entity, not the Elliott Fund. I have respect for the Elliott group but they never bought Milan. We sold it to Yonghong Li, who to complete the purchase had to get a loan from Elliott, who then used Milan as collateral. Had Elliott not loaned thaf money we would gave kept the down payment and matriculated Milan in Serie A and Europa League for the 2017-18 season".
