Milan is focused on the future between the uncertainty surrounding the potential new owners and deciding who will coach their players. There have been significant developments in the last few days- on Thursday there was a secret meeting between executive director Galliani, the advisor for the Chinese group Nikolas Gangikoff and former Empoli manager Marco Giampaolo.
As reported by Peppe Di Stefano, the three met in Milano to discuss the possibility of Giampaolo replacing Brocchi. Should that happen, Empoli's sporting director Marcello Carli could join him at Milan. Carli would not only focus on the transfer market but would also work as a liaison between the coach, the players and the club's management.
So is Giampaolo the favorite for the Milan job? Not yet, since Cristian Brocchi still has his chances intact: Silvio Berlusconi would like to keep him in charge of the first team: Brocchi's chances are strictly tied to the possibility of the sale to the Chinese group not going through.
