Milan actively work on the transfer market to try and strengthen the squad for new manager Marco Giampaolo. The midfiled seems to be a priority for the club, and after they decided to not redeem Bakayoko, they are on the lookout for reinforcements in that department. One in particular that they seem to be serious about is Lucas Torreira of Arsenal, who has a history with the new manager.
In fact, the club are studying the numbers to see what the right offer could be in order to bring the player back to Italy. He played for Giampaolo in 2016-17 and 2017-18 with Sampdoria, where he made a noticeable leap in quality that ultimately got the attention of Arsenal, who paid 30 million for him.
As far as the defense, Milan are continuing their pursuit of Ozan Kabak. After the meeting today at Casa Milan with the player's agents and an intemediary, the Rossoneri feel they have done everything possible to entice the Turkish defender to join the club, despite the fact that there is distance between the proposal and the player's requests. Milan remain ready to pay Stuttgart's 15 million euro clause (valid until June 30th) for the player, and guarantee him more playing time than Bayern Munich who are at a disadvantage in the race for the player. A decision should come by Thursday.
