Alessandro Florenzi is getting closer to joining Milan. After the experience with PSG and the victory with Italy at Euro 2020, the right back has returned to Roma but is ready to find a new club as he is not part of Jose Mourinho's plans. The rossoneri have advanced talks in the last few days and the parties are looking for a suitable agreement.
They are working towards a loan with an option to purchase that could turn into an obbligation if certain conditions are met. Roma, initially, wanted to sell the player outright, but Milan has little desire to complete a deal in this fashion. Only after Roma settled on agreeing to the formula did talks start to advance.
Florenzi has already agreed upon the figures of his contract with Milan, so now all that is left is for the two clubs to come to a total agreement on the numbers and the purchase option. The official agreement should come soon.
Florenzi is already thinking about Milan, and has decided to no longer don the number 24 jersey as a way to break with his past. Milan turned to Florenzi after they were unable to advance talks with Manchester United and Real Madrid for Dalot and Odriozola, respectively.
Two Roma players are set to leave Rome for Milan in Florenzi and Dzeko, although they will find themselves on the opposite sides of the Derby di Milano.
