Everton and Milan continue to negotiate for Deulofeu. The English side is pushing for a loan with an obligation to buy: A solution that Milan can’t afford given all the pressure the club is facing on other fronts. Despite their differences, as reported by Peppe Di Stefano from Sky Sport, the negotiations proceed given the willingness of the player to move to Italy.
The ball lies in Everton’s court, as they are the only side that can change the conditions of these negotiations, while Milan is unable to offer anything but a straight up loan. If Everton were to open up for a loan with option to buy, Galliani would then be willing to fly to Spain and begin talks with Barcelona (Milan has great relationships with the Catalan club), as Barcelona do possess the right to buy back Deulofeu in the future.
