After welcoming Sandro Tonali, Milan continue to work on signing another midfielder for Pioli's squad. The rossoneri are focused on Tiemoue' Bakayoko and an agreement on personal terms is close, in the meantime Milan have also worked with Chelsea and the player's agent to complete all the steps of the negotiation.
However Milan prefer to take their time, they first want to see how they progress in the Europa League and would prefer to sell another player first before completing deal for Bakayoko to ensure they have more liquidity.
