Andrea Conti had an injury scare in yesterday's Italy-Israel World Cup qualifier. The player started as a right-back for the azzurri, but had to be taken off early due to an ankle injury. This morning, he was able to drive himself to take an MRI, and the results were good. There is no extensive damage to the ankle, and the swelling is already down. He will miss Milan's match against Lazio as a precaution, but starting next week he will rejoin the group and be able to give his best for the rossoneri.
Milan has also released a statement on the injury, "Andrea Conti, who left the pitch due to injury in last night's national team qualifier against Israel, has been subjected to some instrumental tests this morning. The player has reported slight distortion to the right ankle. He will be monitored and additional checkups will follow if necessary. Conti has already begun to walk without pain."
