Milan, club statement on the injury to Ibrahimovic

After yesterday's news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic had been injured and was risking a long spell out, on Tuesday, Milan released a statment confirming the injury. "AC Milan announces that Zlatan Ibrahimovic during yesterday's training sustained a soleus muscle strain in his right calf. His achilles tendon is perfectly intact. A follow-up examination will take place in the next 10 days." Ibrahimovic visited the private Milan clinic Columbus, accompanied by team doctor Mazzoni, for examination of the injury. After the club's statement, the seriousness of a muscle injury remains present, but an achilles rupture is ruled out.
