Leonardo Bonucci got at the press conference with Montella ahead of the Europa League game against Rijeka: "We didn't expect what happened at Genova but I really want to be part of this group and do something important. People have always wondered about a three or four man-defense with me. So many people say I've made history with Juventus in a three-man defense but I've played many times in Europe in a back four. I am at the coach and the national team trainer's disposals. The coach didn't choose a 3-5-2 because there's Bonucci: I can play in one system or in another. As Montella said, we're a new team. Playing every three day is different from playing every week. We must learn we haven't got the time to think about what we did but focus on the coming game and be ready to give our best at the training sessions. The Sampdoria game has taught us a useful lesson".
"I'm not happy with my performances yet, I've done some errors: I want to answer on the pitch to everything that's been said about me. Critics must be something that makes you want to do better. After Vienna we did better, we want to get a different mentality and give our best. When I chose Milan I knew well we would have to do well. It's also normal there are some obstacles but there still is time and we have to work to bring back Milan into Champions League and fight over the first spots in Serie A. I think a team's strength relies in its ability to look in each other's eyes and get on the pitch motivated; I think that's been Juventus' secret to win over the past few years.
