Daniele Bonera stepped in to guide Milan against Napoli, as manager Stefano Pioli was unable to coach due to testing positive for Covid. Bonera enjoyed a 3-1 victory and spoke with Sky Sport after the match.
"I already spoke with Pioli, he was very happy. He saw the team in the locker room and gave complimented them. It's an important victory that reinforces the belief that we're working in the right direction."
On Milan's scudetto chances: "We are on the eighth day, it's premature to speak about something that they award in May. We have a great roster at our disposition. It's clear that this journey starts from far away, we're aware to have arrived in the top and we want to stay there as long as possible. There's still a lot of time until May."
"We are a team that, game after game, has the obligation to improve. We have never been given the obligation to win by anyone, not even the club. Napoli is a great team that faced another great team."
