Giacomo Bonaventura underwent surgery today in Pittsburgh, USA, to repair his knee injury. The operation went well, as Milan have officially announced on their website:
"AC Milan communicates that today Giacomo Bonaventura was operated on in Pittsburgh, following a osteochondral lesion to the left knee. The surgical repair of the cartilage, executed by surgeons Volker Musahl and Freddie Fu, in the presence of the Milan medical staff, was perfectly successful and the time for recovery is estimated to be 8-9 months."
