Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura will miss the rest of the season, and is set to undergo knee surgery in the United States. Bonaventura has a ligament tear and microfracture in his knee, and after surgury, will require a 7-8 month recovery period. Bonaventura was guided by agent Mino Raiola to get the surgery in Pittsburgh, with the same surgeon who performed Zlatan Ibrahimovic's procedure. Milan initially wished for Bonaventura to be operated on in Belgium. During Raiola's meeting with his player, the agent did not bring up the issue of a contract extension: Bonaventura's deal with Milan expires in 2020.
