Ronaldo doubts his stay at Real Madrid, while Lionel Messi swears his eternal love to Barcelona.
During an interview with 'Pasion por el Futbol', the Argentinian striker pointed out how in Europe he will dress exclusively in the blaugrana jersey, while opening at the same time the possibility of ending his career in Argentina - his home nation.
"The more time that passes, the more I think that in Europe, I will only ever wear the Barcelona shirt. But I have always expressed the desire to return to play in Argentina, I do not know if it will actually happen, but the idea is there. And it would be only to Newell's Old Boys, for at least six months, then, no one knows what will happen."
Playing with Spain would have allowed him to win the World Cup, but Messi makes things clear:
"A friend of mine told me that now I would be a world champion if I played with Spain, but it would not be the same for me. Raising a trophy in the sky with the albiceleste shirt is something unique, it never crossed my mind to play for Spain".
"World Cup in Russia? We can not promise that we will win because we are not the best. We must watch teams from game-to-game. The favorites are Brazil, Spain and Germany".
