Mazzola: "Great to come back to San Siro. Napoli are playing a spectacular football but winning isn't easy..."

A life spent at Inter, starting as a prospect to become a real champion. Battles and trophies has been Sandro Mazzola's life for years. He came back to San Siro for the Juventus game, as a spectator this time: "I haven't been so close from the pitch for so many years - has he told Tuttosport - I was moved". A stadium that was full: "What surprised me has been the city and the fans answering together for the event. There are people with serious intentions and concrete projects both at Inter and Milan".

The Inter - Juve game was crazy though, with a lot of polemics: "The referee has made some serious mistakes. That being said, if you're winning 5 minutes before the end of the game, you have to wrap it up. At that point Inter had won it, had the game in their hands and threw it away. The mistakes that were made in the last minutes aren't Orsato's, but were from Spalletti and his players".

That win gave Juventus a good advantage regarding the Scvudetto race, helped by the loss Napoli suffered in Firenze: "I believe the table is sincere. Juventus deserve the first position and if they would win the league, they would deserve it. I was crazy about Napoli though. They entertained me a lot with their spectacular football, but at a certain point they thought winning was easy. It never is. The wi in Turin couldn't be enough. Juventus have been more focused and determined. I remember, at the Grande Inter's time, when we had nervous breaks after the great game, Helenio Herrera came in the locker room and started to say: "We're not the best! We haven't won anything! If we're not improving, they'll destroy us!". We stayed there, feeling bad but the next Sunday we'd start to win again. Keeping the head down and working".
