Inter striker Mauro Icardi is at 22 years of age the Nerazzurri's captain. His 52 goals in 105 matches attest to how lethal he is in front of goal which has prompted many big clubs in Europe to try to lure him over. "Maurito" himself however, swears his love for Inter in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.
"I'm here and I feel good here. I have a contract with Inter until 2019, my team. The rest is up to the club to talk about. The objective of the whole family is to stay in Milano, I have never hidden the fact that I am happy in this city and the same goes for Wanda and the children. Milano is our home. This is why she is talking to the club: our will is to find a solution. I am a professional and I am acting as one too, the rumors don't create problems for me. The rumors don't interest me and I don't give much weight to what is being said or written in the press. Everyone knows what I want: I am happy to stay at Inter."
Icardi then continued: "I'll tell you the truth, I am an Interista, very much so. This is the team I support and these are my colors. There is a strong bond. Football is a business and everything can happen but I am wearing the captain's armband at Inter, I've been here for three years and my objective is to win with Inter. I want to succeed. The captains armband means a lot to me. It does not weigh me down much because the responsibilities inside the dressing room is divided amongst everyone, but to wear it on your arm is a great honor."
