Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian was interviewed by Sky about life at Old Trafford as well as the European Championships later this summer.
"I think that Manchester United is a big club so I'm very happy to be here. I started off really well in the beginning when I first got here thanks to the staff and my teammates, I didn't expect to be welcomed like that and things started off well from the very first few days."
Many Italian coaches have tried their luck in the Premier League and have done very well such as Roberto Mancini, Carlo Ancelotti and currently Claudio Ranieri whose Leicester has been proving pundits wrong all season. Next up is former Juventus and current Italy manager Antonio Conte who will take over the reigns at Chelsea: "I think that Conte is a great coach, I have worked with him in the national team so I've seen first hand the passion he puts into his work. I think he can bring new tactical ideas to England with his determination and his passion for football."
There have been some rumours regarding Darmian's own future but the former Milan and Torino fan is quick to put those rumors to rest: "I am happy here, I have a long contract and I'm not thinking about the transfer market also because I want to finish this season of in the best way possible both with my club and the national team."
Speaking of the European Championship Darmian concludes: "We want to have a good tournament, I'm not going to France to just show myself. Our first goal is to qualify for the group, it wont be easy given the level of our opponents but we're Italy so qualifying from the group has to be the first step that we complete."
