Marco Materazzi talks again of his Inter to La Gazzetta Sportiva. the former Nerazzurro defender talks about tonight's final of Spalletti's Inter against Inzaghi's Lazio for the Champions League fourth spots, about Icardi and the future of his former club. Not only though, as he also speaks about the Italian national team that will see two old friends protagonists, Mancini and Balotelli. Here are his words:
"Lazio-Inter a final? Lazio's favorite: they play in their stadium and have two good results out of three. Inter are stronger though and the fact they have to win is an advantage because knowing how to handle a game isn't one of their qualities. It won't be a surprise but I think the decisive player will be Icardi. He's been unfairly criticized against Sassuolo but Consigli has been incredible. He'll have a great game in Rome, he wants the Champions League more than anyone else. With four available spots, Inter have to play the UCL. It would otherwise be a negative season even if important basis have been set for the future".

"Spalletti? I wish him to win a Scudetto soon enough. The board has to sit with him after the season ending and listen to his requests. They can't change everything one more time. Even when I arrived we weren't winning a lot but the tables turned after. De Vrij starting the game? Yes, I fear he'll play really well. If I'd be the player I'd never say no to my coach. I know the Dutch players and Stefan well, I think it has been said that way more because of Inzaghi's words. The same happened to me in 2001 when I already had signed with Inter but scored against them with Perugia's shirt".
He ends the interview talking about Balotelli and Mancini: "Mancio has really wanted that bench, giving up a lot of money. He has to work a lot now! It's true he can't do worse and that he fits better as a national team coach rather than as a club coach: there are not a lof of trainers that know better how to choose players. I'm really happy for Mario. The scored goals decide who gets there and he's special for it".
