Marchisio:”Three Premier League teams pursued me but Juventus was my priority”

Last week Claudio Marchisio announced his retirement and in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, the Italian midfielder was asked about his connection to English football:"As a kid my favorite players were Lampard and Gerrard so I always followed the league. The rhythm and phsycal approach to the match always fascinated me, on top of the financial and organizational aspects. You could say I would have like an experience in the Premier League is something I would have liked, but spending all my career at Juventus was always my priority. In the past both Manchester teams and Chelsea made inquiries, but real negotiations never truly started"
