Manchester United, transfer for Fred is now official

Manchester United confirmed with a tweet on their official site that midfielder Fred has arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk. The deal for the Brazilian amounts to a fee of around €60m and a five year contract that will pay him €5m per season net of taxes. The expenditure made by Manchester United allowed them to beat out rivals City for the player. Yesterday, the medicals were completed and the last details of the contract straightened out, and today the transfer was made official. After the World Cup, Fred will join his new teammates at Manchester United and begin his adventure in the Premier League.
