Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has been speaking to the clubs official website. He explained how he finally decided to come to Old Trafford stating that; "The person who convinced me to join was my friend Patrice Evra. I trust what he says as I've known him for a long time as we grew up in the same area and came through the youth ranks at Monaco. He told me United are a club what has an winning mentality and I really feel that myself now."
Already compared to Thierry Henry, Martial was asked who his idols were growing up, he replied; "Firstly I do not see all these similarities with Thierry, but there are three people who have inspired me; my brother Johan who plays for Troyes, it was my ambition to at least emulate him, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, two huge icons of the game."
