Napoli have begun to set their priorities for the January transfer window, and their top concern is on defense. Besides Vrsaljko from Atletico Madrid and Grimaldo from Benfica, Matteo Darmian is yet another target. As reported by Massimo Ugolini of Sky Sport, the biggest obstacles to the prospect of Darmian returning to Italy from the Premier League are his high salary and a contract that expires in 2020. There have been contacts between Manchester United and Napoli, but no agreement looks near conclusion. Napoli continue to look to add a new fullback to Sarri's lineup.
